Founders Jennifer Link, M.S.Ed., BCBA., and Jillian Burgard, M.Ed. are business owners who have lived and breathed the growth cycles of business. Together, they have grown a successful business from the ground up and truly understand the trials and triumphs inherent in business ownership.
Jillian Burgard, M.Ed.
Jillian began her career in education as a teacher, with a B.S. in Education from Florida State University. Driven to find solutions for students in her class who were experiencing learning and behavioral challenges, she obtained a Masters degree in Education from DePaul University.
Although Jillian initially embarked on a career as an educator, her trajectory shifted towards business and entrepreneurship after 15 years in the education system. Her work in leadership within the school system supported her ability to lead and grow her company. Throughout her career, Jillian has had a passion for helping people grow and learn, as well as find solutions to make meaningful change in their career and life.
As a business owner, Jillian found the invaluable support of business mentors. Roots Small Business Solutions now serves as a platform for her to channel her passion for working with both emerging and seasoned entrepreneurs, offering guidance through every phase of their entrepreneurial journey.
Jennifer Link, M.S.Ed., BCBA
Jen embarked on her professional journey in Orlando, FL, working with children and adolescents with severe behavior challenges. After receiving her B.S. from University of Central Florida. She then earned her M.S.Ed in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons College in Boston, MA. Transitioning from the educational system as a BCBA, she redirected her focus to working directly with families, providing behavior analytic services. Seeing a need to connect education to private therapies, she launched her company providing children with autism comprehensive therapy services.
As a business owner and BCBA, Jen was able to analyze company wide systems, and develop plans that would move her company forward. As her work as an entrepreneur continued, Jen continued to pursue additional growth and learning opportunities in Organizational Behavior Management. The combined disciplines and depth of knowledge in behavior analysis have provided Jen the ability to grow a successful business from the ground up.
In her role as a business owner, Jen found the importance of small business and how it connects to its consumer, and the value that it provides. Recognizing that reputation and consumer relationships are pivotal to business success, Jen is driven by her passion to assist existing businesses in analyzing their triumphs and challenges. Her commitment lies in developing tailored plans that pave the way for sustained growth, a mission she wholeheartedly pursues at Roots Small Business Solutions.
